About the role
This role is a 12 month fixed term (parental leave) with potential for ongoing. 

We are seeking a tech-savvy, client-focused, experienced Legal Assistant to join our friendly Property team. This is an exciting role working in a collegiate, dynamic and fast paced team supporting lawyers.  

The Property team provides conveyancing services (both residential and commercial) as well as advice on all aspects of commercial property for the affordable housing sector, NFP sector, religious property trusts, as well as commercial vendors, purchasers, landlords and tenants.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will do
•    Manage matter files and documentation across multiple platforms. 
•    Draft and format correspondence, presentations and bills. 
•    Handle client communications, new enquiries and triage calls. 
•    Provide diary and calendar management, scheduling meetings and appointments. 
•    Support billing, reporting, debtor management and accurate record-keeping. 
•    Conveyancing tasks - including undertaking searches, contract preparation, adjustments, PEXA, Duties Online. 
•    Deliver exceptional client service and share information clearly with team and clients. 
•    Navigate technology systems for efficient communication and file management. 
•    Assist with work allocation and general administrative tasks to keep the team organised and on track.
•    Show initiative and be motivated to find solutions. 

What you will bring
•    Previous experience as a legal assistant or administrator in a law firm or professional services environment.
•    A thorough understanding of conveyancing, PEXA and online searches
•    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
•    Confidence with Microsoft 365 and document management systems (e.g., iManage).
•    Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
