Job Description

About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Legal Assistant to join our Corporate Advisory team in a part time capacity supporting the Moores Education, Governance, Regulatory Compliance team.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 2–3 days per week. Our preferred days are Wednesday and Thursday, with the possibility of Friday. Flexibility to increase days when required is highly valued. The position also provides the potential for a hybrid work arrangement, combining time in the office with work-from-home options.

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth matter management and exceptional client service in a unique regulatory space.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will do
•    Manage matter files and documentation across multiple platforms. 
•    Draft and format correspondence, presentations and bills. 
•    Handle client communications, new enquiries and triage calls. 
•    Provide diary and calendar management, scheduling meetings and appointments. 
•    Support billing, reporting, debtor management and accurate record-keeping. 
•    Deliver exceptional client service and share information clearly with team and clients. 
•    Navigate technology systems for efficient communication and file management. 
•    Assist with work allocation and general administrative tasks to keep the team organised and on track.

What you will bring
•    Previous experience as a legal assistant or administrator in a law firm or professional services environment.
•    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
•    Confidence with Microsoft 365 and document management systems (e.g., iManage).
•    Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
•    Experience with privacy, education, or child safety documentation is a bonus.
