Job Description

About the role
Working closely with our highly-regarded Practice Leader, Skye Rose, you will provide advice and representation to clients on an interesting, diverse and complex range of workplace relations matters. Our team provides representation in all courts, commissions and tribunals. 

There is a high degree of autonomy in the role, and you will work closely with our clients in the education, housing, disability, health and NFP sectors. The is no shortage of quality work on offer, but the opportunity to step into a leadership role and develop your practice and profile is something that we are keen to support. 
 

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You will have approximately 5 + years’ experience as a workplace relations/employment lawyer and be available to work a minimum equivalent of four days per week. We are open about how you might want to work and we welcome a mutually supportive and flexible approach to the delivery of tasks.

We value the following skills and experience:

•    Advising on a broad range of workplace relations matters (including enterprise bargaining, wage compliance and underpayments);
•    Litigation and alternative dispute resolution;
•    Providing advice in relation to workplace investigations and complex employment disputes;
•    Mentoring and supervising more junior members in the team. 

You must have: 

•    An ability to work in a collaborative and collegiate manner as part of our team;
•    Excellent research, drafting, communication and project management skills;
•    A commitment to building strong client relationships and building your profile and practice.
